In the early 1990’s Mary & Roger Wolters purchased 160 acres in Green Creek, NC with the ambition of creating The Red Horse Inn on the bucolic property. The property already had two small rental houses on it, begging to be restored. Eventually, the two houses were renovated, rented and helped pay the mortgage on the property.
Creating the Inn had been a dream of theirs since they were newlyweds.

After 22 years in the bed and breakfast industry, Mary and Roger Wolters have sold their business and eased into “retirement”. The husband and wife duo began construction of the Inn in 1995 when Roger purchase Mary a bulldozer for their 21st anniversary. Mary used her new bulldozer and paved the way for Roger to begin building 6 cottages and finally the Main Inn. Through their combined effort they built one of the most successful bed and breakfasts in South Carolina.

The Red Horse Inn will appear as a "Prize" on the National Television series "The Price is Right" on Wednesday February 24th.
Winners will receive a special night in one of the Inn's finest cottages.
