My Little Secret

"My Little Secret" saved us from the sad loss of our beloved horse, Beau Coup, a splendid and magnificent Percheron mare who died a few days before Christmas, 2011. 2 days before Christmas, My Little Secret arrived at The Red Horse Inn.

I don’t think she was quite ready or prepared to take over the prestigious task of filling the horse shoes of those who had preceded her. She was only nine months old and had spent most of her life carelessly grazing in green pastures. She was as green as the grass, having never been touched or trained. Frightened of everything, she would not allow us to touch any part of her. She was ready to kick, bite, fight and flee... hence we will begin the long and patient and loving task of "gentling" her with the same techniques as depicted in "The Horse Whisperer."

How she got her name: her great grandfather was Secretariat, the one and only Big Red!
